  • Tanqueray London Dry Gin
    Gin
    oz
  • Lemon Juice
    ¾oz
  • Simple syrup
    ½oz
  • Soda Water
    Sparkling water
    3oz

Method

Add gin, lemon juice, and syrup to a shaker with ice. Shake for 10 seconds. Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice. Top with soda water. Stir gently.

Notes

The Tom Collins was one of the most popular drinks of the 19th century. The 'Tom Collins hoax' of 1874 helped make it famous. A lighter, more refreshing alternative to a Gimlet.
