- 1ozPlantation 3 Stars White RumRum
- 1ozGosling's Black Seal RumDark rum
- ½ozBG Reynolds OrgeatOrgeat
- ½ozCointreauTriple sec
- ¾ozLemon Juice
Method
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake hard for 10–12 seconds. Strain over crushed ice in a rocks glass. If using the float technique, gently pour the dark rum last over the back of a spoon so it rests on top.
Notes
Victor 'Trader Vic' Bergeron created the original in 1944. The two-rum blend is key — white rum for brightness, dark rum for depth. Use a quality orgeat (almond syrup), not artificial flavoring.
