  • Lemon Juice

  • Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
    Maraschino Liqueur

  • Green Chartreuse
    Green herbal liqueur
    ¾oz

Method

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake hard for 10–12 seconds. Fine-strain into a chilled coupe.

Notes

A Prohibition-era cocktail from the Detroit Athletic Club, revived by Murray Stenson at Zig Zag Café in Seattle in 2004. The equal-parts formula seems like it shouldn't work — and then it does.
